KYIV — September 18, 2026. Ukraine has received another €3.3 billion tranche from the European Union under the Ukraine Support Loan, according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi said the funds would be directed toward priority defense requirements, including the procurement of missiles and drones.
The payment comes as Ukraine continues efforts to strengthen its air-defense and drone capabilities during the war with Russia.
What the Ukrainian government said
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the €3.3 billion is part of the Ukraine Support Loan mechanism. Koretskyi thanked European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission and EU member states for continuing to support Ukraine.
The government specifically identified missiles and drones among the planned defense priorities.
Why it matters
Ukraine has repeatedly identified air defense, interceptor missiles and unmanned systems as key military requirements. The latest financing gives Kyiv additional resources for defense procurement rather than representing a separate delivery of specific weapons.
