Zelenskyy: Ukraine Ready for De-Escalation Steps if U.S. Partners Secure Genuine Russian Readiness to End the War

KYIV — President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is prepared to take de-escalatory steps if its American partners can ensure that Russia is genuinely ready to stop the war, according to the official website of the President of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy made the statement in his September 14, 2026 evening address.

According to the official presidential transcript, the Ukrainian president said that peace efforts should include energy infrastructure, food routes and critical infrastructure.
